Hello! I'm Panav
Hi, I’m Panav, a 4th-year Medical Sciences student at Western University, specializing in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences (IMS). I chose IMS because it blends the foundational knowledge of medical science with the real-world impact of community interventions. A perfect match for my passion for connecting science with care. This year, I’m thrilled to dive into my capstone project, applying what I’ve learned to meaningful interventions. My goal is to become a primary care physician serving rural Southwestern Ontario, where I can make a difference by improving access to healthcare in underserved communities. Outside of academics, you can find me playing soccer, exploring cultural events, and enjoying my Western experiance. Join me on my learning journey this year and beyond, there’s always more to discover!

Learning Philosophy
My learning philosophy centers on goal-based learning, where setting clear, achievable objectives is the foundation for success. I use SMART goals—Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound—to create a structured approach to my growth. Regular self-check-ins allow me to reflect on my progress, identify challenges, and reevaluate my goals as needed. This iterative process ensures that I stay adaptable and focused, constantly aligning my efforts with my aspirations. By breaking larger ambitions into smaller, manageable steps, I maintain motivation and track meaningful progress, turning my goals into tangible outcomes.
Most Memorable Learning
Physiology 3120 and Pharmacology 3620. These courses provided me with an in-depth understanding of systems and interventions for treating pathologies. I enjoyed the real world examples and engaging lectures. I highly recommend future Medical Science students take these courses at Western.
